Why travel to GHANA?
If you’re planning to travel to Ghana, this video can inspire you on what to put in your itinerary. Maki, a Czech volunteer in Ghana, is sharing her experience with you. She really experienced a lot and that’s why we needed to split it, and this is the 2nd part of the interview with her. If you haven’t watched the first part yet, start watching here.
Experience CAPE COAST / KUMASI / KAKUM NATIONAL PARK / AFADJATO, and more!
From Accra, Maki first traveled to Cape Coast where she visited the Elmina Castle. Her next steps led to Kumasi and Bonwire Kente Weaving Centre. Maki proudly showed the kente she bought there. An amazing experience for her was in the Kakum National Park and visiting a crocodile pond, she also enjoyed traveling by trotro, and going to Lake Bosomtwe. She also traveled to Volta Region and mentioned a bit about the history and legend of the Ashanti Kingdom.
Feeding monkeys, and AFADJATO Mountain
Another great experience for Maki was feeding wild monkeys and she was even able to share a short video with us! She also faced the challenge of claiming West Africa’s Highest Peak – Afadjato Mountain, but Wli Waterfalls were really rewarding for that effort! Maki also shared that she’s sponsoring one child in Ghana through one organization and she was able to visit him which was very exciting and heart-warming for both of them! 🙂
Nightlife in Ghana
And not to forget to mention, Maki also shared how is the nightlife in Ghana and that she’s a great fan of afrobeat, so she really had an amazing time. And she was even able to meet some Ghanaian celebrities as well! As I said, Maki has a lot to share with us!
